Terms of Service

1. Introduction, Consent, and Language

Welcome. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the application and its related services (the “Service”). The Service is a tool for managing your family and personal budget, designed to help you organize and track your income and expenses.

Creating an account and checking the consent box constitute confirmation that you have read the Terms and the Privacy Policy, understood them, and agree to them. If you do not agree — please refrain from registering and from using the Service. Browsing the public pages of the site, without registration, is subject only to those provisions of these Terms that are relevant to browsing.

The Service is operated by balansi.co.il. You may contact us at support@balansi.co.il.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy were drafted in Hebrew, and the Hebrew version is the sole binding version. The Russian and English translations are provided for your convenience only; in the event of any contradiction or inconsistency between the Hebrew version and any translation — the Hebrew version shall prevail.

2. The Service

The Service allows you to enter financial data (such as transactions, balances, and budgets), view summaries and insights, and manage shared household information. Data entry is done manually or by reading screenshots that you upload (OCR).

The Service does not connect to your bank accounts and does not pull data directly from financial institutions. You control which data to enter.

We may add, change, or discontinue features from time to time in order to improve the Service. If we decide to discontinue the Service in its entirety or a material feature of it, we will give advance notice reasonable in the circumstances — and at least 30 days, to the extent within our control.

3. Eligibility and Registration

Use of the Service is intended for adult users (aged 18 and over) who are legally competent to enter into a binding agreement. During registration you will be asked to confirm that you are 18 or older.

When registering, you must provide accurate and up-to-date details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials and for all activity that takes place in your account.

An account is intended for your use and the use of the household members you have invited. The account may not be transferred to a third party without authorization.

4. User Responsibility and Account Security

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for the decisions you make based on it. You must keep your password confidential, safeguard your account login credentials, and notify us without delay of any unauthorized use of your account.

We employ the security measures described in the Privacy Policy, but no online service is entirely immune. Use of the Service is subject to these Terms and to the law; nothing in the foregoing derogates from Section 10 below or from rights that cannot be waived under the law.

5. Permitted and Prohibited Use

You may use the Service for lawful personal and family purposes only.

It is prohibited to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; harm or attempt to harm the integrity or security of the Service; carry out unauthorized access, automated scraping, or reverse engineering; upload content that is offensive, infringing, or not your own; or use the Service on behalf of another person without their authorization.

6. The Service Is Not Professional Advice

The Service is an information and organization tool only. The information, summaries, recommendations, and insights presented in it — including those generated by artificial intelligence — do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, pension advice, tax advice, legal advice, or professional advice of any kind, and must not be relied upon as such.

Every financial decision is your sole responsibility. Before making material decisions, it is recommended to consult a qualified professional (a financial advisor, accountant, tax advisor, etc.).

7. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features

Some features use third-party artificial-intelligence services — primarily Google (Gemini), and in certain configurations OpenAI — to analyze your data and produce summaries, insights, and chat responses. Details of which data is sent for processing appear in the Privacy Policy.

The outputs of the artificial intelligence may be erroneous, partial, or inaccurate. They are provided “as is”, for informational purposes only, and you must verify them independently before relying on them.

The chat feature in the Service is powered by artificial intelligence; its responses are not given by a human representative and do not constitute professional advice, as stated in Section 6.

8. Your Content and Data

The data you enter remains yours. You grant us a limited permission to process and store it solely for the purpose of operating the Service and displaying it to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the content you enter and for having the right to enter it.

Information about household members: if you enter another person's personal information into the Service — including uploading a payslip of a member of your household — it is your responsibility to ensure that you have obtained their explicit consent in advance. Do not enter personal information about a person who has not given their consent.

9. Service Availability and “As Is”

The Service is provided “as is” (AS-IS) and “as available”. We do not warrant continuous availability, full accuracy of the information, or fitness for any particular purpose.

We may perform maintenance, update, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) from time to time, and we will endeavor to minimize disruptions as much as possible. Discontinuation of the Service in its entirety or of a material feature is subject to the advance notice set out in Section 2.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits or opportunities, arising from the use of the Service or the inability to use it.

This limitation does not exempt us from liability for damage caused with intent or by gross negligence, from liability for bodily injury, from liability for loss of data caused by our fault, or from any liability that cannot be contracted out of under the law.

Our total liability for direct damage shall not exceed the greater of: the amounts you actually paid us in the 12 months preceding the event, or ILS 1,000.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update the Terms from time to time. A material change will take effect for you only after we present a prominent notice within the application and obtain your renewed express consent; a material change will not apply to you without such consent.

Non-material changes (such as wording corrections, clarifications, or technical adjustments) take effect upon publication of the updated text and update of the “last updated” date; continued use after that date constitutes consent to those changes only.

12. Termination and Suspension

You may stop using the Service at any time and request the deletion of your account and data by contacting us at the address in Section 14. Deletion will be completed within a reasonable time and no later than 30 days from the request, except for information we are required to retain by law.

We may suspend or terminate an account due to a material breach of the Terms, after giving notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure the breach within 14 days; however, in severe cases — such as harm to the security of the Service, fraud, or unlawful use — we may suspend the account immediately.

Upon termination of the account, we will handle your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

13. Subscriptions, Payments, and Cancellation

The Service is offered on a free plan and on paid subscription plans (Plus and Family Pro), billed on a monthly or annual cycle. Full and current prices are displayed on the subscriptions page before any transaction is completed, in New Israeli Shekels. The displayed price is the final price you will be charged.

Payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record — that is, the official seller in the payment transaction and the party issuing the receipt. Your payment method details are provided directly to Lemon Squeezy and are not stored by us.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) until cancelled. Before an annual subscription renews, you will receive an advance reminder, by email and by an in-app notification.

A renewing subscription is a "continuous transaction" under the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981. You may cancel the subscription at any time, by any of the following methods: (a) the subscription-management button on the "My Subscription" page in the app; (b) the dedicated transaction-cancellation page on the website; (c) contacting support@balansi.co.il. Billing will stop within three business days of the cancellation notice being given (or, if given by registered mail, within six business days). No cancellation fee will be charged. Upon cancellation, your access to the paid plan will be retained until the end of the current billing period, after which the account will move to the free plan.

In addition, in a distance-selling transaction you have a right of cancellation within 14 days of the transaction date or of the date you received the disclosure document, whichever is later — upon such cancellation, the full payment will be refunded to you within 14 days of the cancellation notice, to the payment method used for the transaction. If you are a person with a disability, a senior citizen (aged 65 or older), or a new immigrant (in Israel for up to five years), and the transaction was formed including a conversation with us, the right of cancellation is extended to four months.

A change in subscription prices will take effect only in the next billing cycle, and for an annual subscription — subject to at least 30 days' advance notice before the renewal date.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute shall be vested in the competent courts in Israel. Nothing in this section derogates from your right to apply to the Small Claims Court in accordance with the jurisdiction rules prescribed by law.

If any provision of the Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

15. Contact
